Seoul Fashion Week 2017

Seoul Fashion Week is always something to look forward to, and this year is no different. Sporting items from brands like Off-White, Supreme, and Vetements, Korean style stars never fail to bring a unique flavor of vogue to the table. So, without further ado, here are some of my favorite looks spotted on the streets outside this year’s Spring and Summer shows.

Pajama dressing has surprisingly remained a constant in the trends of today. This daring showgoer has opted for a silk pajama top paired with loose-fitting track pants. What’s really striking are the embroidered patterns on the collar, cuffs, and above the chest.

A modern take on the classic Sukeban look. The blood red tie compliments her makeup, and adds a vibrant pop of color to the otherwise dark ensemble. The buckled leather choker is a nice addition as well.

I love the mismatched thigh-highs here. A little off-beat, and they really accentuate her ink without compromising the overall integrity of the outfit. The embroidered, iron-on patches are super cute as well, adding a personal touch to the fairly tame ensemble.

Ah, yes – the classic ‘Tie-Down’ belt from Off-White. It’s harder than you think to pull it off, but this showgoer has done so perfectly. Tied around the torso, the yellow of the belt offsets the black of the matching trousers and greatcoat. In fact, the whole effect is reminiscent of a taekwondo dobok. An interesting way to pull together an outfit, for sure.

If you fancy yourself a street fashion aficionado, Seoul Fashion Week is definitely something you want to attend. Alas, the season for this year’s SFW has already passed, but there’s always next year to look forward to.
