Makeup at the Gym: Yes or No?

We’ve all worn makeup to the gym at some point in our lives. (Hey, you never know who you’ll bump into at the gym!) It’s always better to hit the gym bare-faced, but still, there are some days you just don’t want to go out into the world without at least a little makeup.

Here’s how you can look cute at the gym, and stop suffering from post-gym breakouts.

1. Hydrate your skin

You should never use anything too hydrating or greasy when you’re hitting the gym. Invest in a light moisturizer which will keep your skin feeling dewy instead of oily. Quench dehydrated skin with pure encapsulated water. This miracle serum is specially formulated to instantly replenish cellular water without oiliness or shine, this is an oasis for all skin types requiring a water-break sans breakout.

2. Eyebrows on fleek

Even if you have no heavy make up on, minimal, filled-in brows will frame your face and keep you looking put-together. Invest in a waterproof brow mascara which lightly tints the skin, and hold your brows in place.

3. No bold colours

You do not want to be wearing bold colours to the gym while you sweat it out. Instead of applying a full-on lipstick, a lip stain will be a better option to give you that gorgeous splash of colour.

For naturally flushed lips, ditch your lipsticks for these natural lip stains. Alcohol-free, these versatile, long lasting lip stains double as cheek stains as well – giving you a flushed, healthy look.

4. Sunscreen

If you’re exercising outdoors, keep yourself protected against the sun with this sun-shielding superhero. This super lightweight formula forms a breathable shield to safeguard your skin from the sun.

5. Wash your face post-gymming

Wash your face to remove any buildup of bacteria/dirt in the pores. This light foaming cleanser lifts away dirt, make up, and other impurities without stripping the essential lipids the skin needs to stay healthy and hydrated.
