If you’ve been sticking to the same make-up routine for as long as you can remember, it’s time to experiment, and you’ve come to the right place for inspiration! From CL to Taeyeon, venture below the cut for 4 gorgeous looks to get you started.
CL – 2NE1
CL isn’t called The Baddest Female for nothing. No matter where she is, she’s always serving up looks, but her razor-sharp winged eyeliner is the MVP. How does she do it? Well, all you need is a good liquid eyeliner, and a lot of practice. I personally love L’Oréal Paris Super Liner Perfect Slim. Like its namesake, the tip is super thin at only 0.4mm, making it that much easier for you to sharpen your wings to a point. If you need some extra help, no sweat! Check out this tutorial to achieve a look just as gorgeous as CL’s.
Hyuna absolutely rocks the smoky eye and red lips combo. You’ll want to get a pencil liner in dark brown/burgundy (not black, you don’t want to end up looking like a panda), and a firetruck red lipstick. My choice for the latter is always Smashbox Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick in Bawse. Usually, red lipsticks aren’t suited for all skintones, but this one actually works for a huge range. Plus, it’s smudge-proof, lasting up to eight hours, so you don’t have to worry about leaving behind a huge, red stain whenever you try to eat or drink anything.

Hani – EXID
Another queen of serving looks – Hani from EXID. No one’s quite sure how, but she always manages to look cute yet alluring at the same time. She’s often seen with the classic gradient lip synonymous to K-Beauty. We’ve all tried it, haven’t we? It looks pretty, but is it really worth the effort? Now, there’s a much easier solution. Enter Laneige’s Two Tone Lip Bar. Each lip bar comes in two colors, blending together into a smooth gradient as you glide it across your lips.
I’ve given the product a try, and to be honest, I wouldn’t say the different shades make too much of a difference. It really all just looks pink in the end, but if you’re looking for an easier way to achieve a gradient lip, this lip bar definitely does what it’s supposed to. Find out how to look like Hani here!
Taeyeon – Girls’ Generation
Taeyeon always looks ethereal and gorgeous, especially in her MV for ‘I’. There’s something about her wavy, blonde locks, perfect makeup, and smile that makes her look so effortlessly beautiful. Most of the time, Taeyeon goes for a more natural look with her makeup, but I think the colored lenses definitely puts the icing on the cake.
Russian Velvet Lens in Grey are one of all-time favorites. They actually look really realistic, with a slight tinge of blue and hazel to blend the colors into a more natural transition. For the quality you’re getting, it’s not that pricey, either – so it’s definitely a must-buy for me.
For this look, we have a tutorial straight from Taeyeon’s makeup artist. Check it out here!
