Yes, you can put on your makeup in the morning and still look fabulous at the end of the day.
It’s easy to tell someone to just stop wearing makeup when they keep complaining that their makeup is literally melting off in the heat. But it’s no easy feat doing it yourself, especially on days when you just need to look put together – which (ideally) should be every single day.
I’m sure many of you have heard of using the NIVEA’s Post Shave Balm as a primer after it was made famous by beauty Youtuber NikkieTutorials. After she introduced it on her channel, many other Youtubers put it to the test and almost all of the reviews that followed were overwhelmingly positive.
How exactly does it work? Well, NIVEA’s Post Shave Balm includes a secret ingredient called Glycerine which helps your makeup to stick to your skin that much better after application.
For a more high-end alternative, consider Sloane Inc’s 24K Gold Skin Primer. It not only helps my make-up stay put, but also helps to enhance skin elasticity, firmness, and smoothness. Oh, and did I mention that it contains pure 24K gold? Pure 24K gold helps to rejuvenate the skin from inside out, by suppressing any inflammation and improving circulation of the blood.
As we all know, water and oil don’t mix, and the oils on your face aren’t an exception to that rule! An oily face will make makeup melt off quicker than you can imagine.
If you really want your makeup to last, start with a clean face. Remove excess dirt and oil by washing with a gentle cleanser. For me, I like to use The Face Shop’s Rice Water Bright Cleansing Milk. It’s affordable, and really gentle on the skin.
After you’ve applied your primer, foundation, highlighter, bronzer, and everything else, you need something to keep all that in place, right? That’s when you apply your NYX Makeup Setting Spray to keep everything in check. After a few spritz, your make-up literally won’t budge an inch. It comes in a Dewy finish, and also a Matte finish. I personally prefer the Dewy finish, but at the end of the day, it’s all up to you.
5. Be Prepared!
Prepare for any emergency makeup meltdowns by keeping a small makeup bag of daily essentials. Products I like to keep on hand are blotting paper, pressed powder, and a makeup stick that can double both as blush and lipstick.
And there! You’re all ready to head out into the world without any fear of your makeup melting off halfway through the day.
