4 Things Your Skin Can Tell You About Your Health

Your skin is incredibly vocal. Although it may not have a voice, there are many things that your skin can tell you about your health. Once you know what to look out for, you’ll be amazed at how much your body is able to express what it needs.

2The freckles on your skin may be caused by sun overexposure. High and frequent exposure to the sun can increase melanin production, which can cause freckles to become darker and more visible. It can occur not only on your face, but on your arms and shoulders as well.

Invest in a sunscreen with high SPF coverage to protect yourself from the UV rays.

If your skin is flaky and tight, it may be caused by dehydration. Simply bring a bottle with you everywhere to sip throughout the day and stay hydrated!

Do you find yourself squinting too often? Perhaps you need to invest in a pair of glasses or sunglasses. Visit your optician to check your eyesight. Or invest in a pair of stylish sunglasses, so that you’ll be inclined to wear them when the sun is getting into your eyes.

If moisturizers aren’t soothing your dull, dry skin, it might be time to look at your diet. Rough or dry ‘bumpy’ skin may be caused by Omega-3 deficiency. Reach for walnuts, salmon, flaxseeds, and soybeans. A good moisturiser to provide your skin with intense hydration would also help.
